Day two of the Game Show Global eSports Cup Finals wrapped up, leaving the brackets settled for tomorrow's matches, which will feature six of the eight teams that have played the past two days, with FlipSid3 and method being the eliminated teams

The elimination match between method and Cloud9 ended with the North American team dispatching their opponents in two maps, de_cache (14-16), and de_dust2 (11-16), with Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham's awping carrying the team through to the quarterfinals.

The winner's match saw Astralis best G2 following a comeback ignited by a Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth tec9 three kill clutch on the decider map de_cache, which was resolved in overtime (19-15). The first two maps were de_train, which Astralis won 16-11, and de_overpass (16-13), a map dominated by Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans who got 32 frags.

The decider was a rematch of the first match of the day between Cloud9 and G2, and the maps to be played were to be the same. That's where the similarities ended however as G2 took the first map, de_cache (16-3), which C9 had won in the previous bout in overtime. The first half of de_train went well for the North American squad, who took the CT side 10-5 at the half. They deflated on the T side, however, and ended up losing 11-16.
