Heavy favorites Natus Vincere have been knocked out of K1 League 2012 Season 1 as ETeng and MI5 advance over them due to slightly better round difference in group A.

K1 League started under two weeks ago with Natus Vincere traveling to Shanghai to practice CSOL for the event. Early reports suggested the Ukrainians were having some trouble adjusting and that the game was run on settings such as updaterate 30.

The first group for the tournament is over now and while HiQi were unable to score a single point, the other three teams in group A ended in a threeway tie. MI5 ended first with a round difference of +17, ETeng second with +16 and the Ukrainians third with +14.

K1 League featured an odd scoring system that enabled matches to end at different times, as opposed to playing until someone reached sixteen rounds to win a match. The event used a system that counts the rounds between all participants rather than the update model where only rounds among tied teams are counted, which led to Na`Vi not making the cut.

Group B of K1 League is scheduled to be played over the course of the next two weekends with TyLoo, TFE, H5 and New4 competing for the other two semi-finals spots along with MI5 and ETeng.
