VeryGames win their opening Group A match versus fnatic 21-19 on de_inferno, which means the Frenchmen will face off against the winner of Copenhagen Wolves versus n!faculty.

VeryGames started off strong after winning the knife round, as a fast mid push by fnatic was quickly dealt with by the Frenchmen, as well as a 3rd round buy from the Swedes.

The 5th round saw a slower setup from fnatic, thanks to which they planted the bomb on A, although with the help of Nathan "NBK" Schmitt's flickshot, VeryGames managed to win an unlikely 2v3 situation. 

This duo was key in X-on-X situations

Fnatic decided to once again put Jesper "jw" Wecksell on the helm of the attack and after two fast pushes from him to arch and B bombsite, the score was 5-3. Another B bombsite attack did not pan out that time, as Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom tore fnatic apart with four frags.

A double awp setup from VeryGames lost them a round, although that was all that was left for fnatic as the Frenchmen went over to Terrorists with a 11-4 lead.

The second pistol round was dealt with by Wecksell's team in an easy manner as Andreas "MODDII" Fridh pushed up banana and took three members of VeryGames away.

A classic second round P250 buy from VeryGames did not pan out, although a 1v1 from Benrlitom in the first gunround helped his team make it 14-7. 

jw's performances kept fnatic in the match

From there on the game went downhill for the Frenchmen and only another big performance from Schmitt went their way as fnatic took the game to overtime thanks to defenses by Wecksell and Andreas "schneider" Lindberg.

Only one round from the first three went fnatic's way, mainly because of Schmitt's B bombsite takeover, although Wecksell stepped up and with the help of Lindberg, his team switched sides at 3-2 in their favor.

VeryGames started off very strong as Counter-Terrorists once again, taking two rounds in a row, making a lot of pressure on the Swedes. This time Wecksell was not able to save his team and VeryGames took the two needed rounds to win 21-19.
