The ZEN Esports Network League Season 1 LAN Finals is set to commence this weekend with four teams attending from the Asia-Pacific region to fight for a share of the ~$37,184 prize pot.
After the completion of the online eight-team league in April, the offline playoffs will take place at ESL Australia's studio in Sydney, Australia featuring two Asian rosters and two Australian squads in the form of Dark Sided and Immunity with former Vox Eminor player, Chris "cozeh" Cossyvas attending as a stand-in.
One of the Asian teams is MVP PK from Korea, formerly known for their time in WeMade FOX and eSTRO in CS 1.6. The remaining Asian team is Indonesia's Recca with Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand competing in his last event alongside his fellow countrymen before he fully transitions to the Chinese powerhouse, TyLoo.
The tournament will utilise a best-of-three double-elimination format, with the eventual winners of the upper bracket final advancing to the grand final. They will only need to win one best-of-three series to emerge as champions. The schedule for the two-day event can be found here:
